日本語教師のMariです。
私は大学を卒業した後、サンフランシスコに短期ホームステイをしました。
その時滞在したホストファミリーとの出会いがきっかけで、
私は日本語教師の仕事に興味を持ちました。
私がホストファミリーのために買って持って行ったおみやげ・・・
お寿司を握る職人の人形です。
その寿司職人の人形にとても興味を持ってくれて、
そこから、家族みんなが私に次々と日本文化についての質問をしました。
その時、日本文化や日本語について教えている時間が、「とても楽しい」
「世界とつながっているな～」と思ったんです。
日本に帰国して、しっかりと学校に通い、日本語教師の資格を取りました。
その後、東京の日本語学校で３年間日本語を教えてきました。
教えた国籍は 中国、ベトナム、ミャンマー、ネパール、
スリランカ、ウズベキスタンです。
日本語学校では、日本語のスタートラインに立ったばかりの学生を
たくさん受け入れて、初級の日本語をたくさん教えてきました。
現在は東京の外国人材紹介会社で
外国の方に日本のお仕事を紹介しながら、オンラインで日本語を教えています。
外国の方に仕事を紹介する時、特定技能や技術人文国際業務の
在留資格の知識も必要なので、在留資格の勉強もしています。
在留資格の勉強をして、目の前の外国の方にベストな仕事を紹介することは、
人生をサポートする事と似ているなと感じています。
私が働いている部署には、インドネシア人と、ミャンマー人の外国人社員もいます。
とても日本語が上手で、日本人のフィーリングも理解しています。
グローバルなオフィス環境で、日本語を使って仕事をする外国人同僚を見ながら、
外国人はどんなビジネス日本語を教えたら良いか、いつも考えながら
仕事をしています。
日本語の奥深さ、表現の美しさを知ってほしいです。
日本語は美しいです。
日本語を教えることが私の使命だと思っています。
学習者さんと良い出会いがありますように・・・

About Me
I am Mari, a Japanese teacher.
After I graduated from college, I did a short homestay in San Francisco.
It was an encounter with a host family that I stayed with at that time that sparked my interest in teaching Japanese,
I became interested in teaching Japanese.
I bought a souvenir for my host family...
It was a sushi chef doll.
They were very interested in that sushi chef doll,
From there, everyone in the family asked me questions about Japanese culture one after another.
I was very happy to spend time teaching them about Japanese culture and the Japanese language, and I was able to hear them say, "I'm having so much fun.
I thought, "I am connected to the world.
I went back to Japan, went to school hard, and got certified as a Japanese language teacher.
I then taught Japanese for three years at a Japanese language school in Tokyo.
The nationalities I taught were: China, Vietnam, Myanmar, Nepal,
Sri Lanka, and Uzbekistan.
At the school, I accepted many students who were just starting

Currently, I am working for a foreign recruitment agency in Tokyo.
I teach Japanese online while introducing Japanese jobs to foreigners.
